A Brother's Betrayal: Weakest Link (chapter 1)
April’s heart pounded in her chest as she ran down the street, frantically looking for a place to hide. She knew it was hopeless, but she had to try if she was to survive. The thudding grew louder behind her, causing her to gasp in panic. She quickly ducked down the nearest alleyway in hopes of finding an escape route, but instead she found a dead end. Nothing but a solid brick wall stopping her in her tracks. Maybe there was still time to turn around and find another place, but it was too late. A menacing shadow loomed over her, engulfing her in darkness. There, towering over her with twitching vines, was the horrible Snakeweed

A Brother's Betrayal: Weakest Link (chapter 2)
“Man, I can’t believe you used Splinter’s nerve-pinch move on Raph,” said Donnie as April packed up her gear. “It’s like his only weakness. Well, that and cockroaches.”
April chuckled. “Yeah, well I assumed you reached your teasing quota for the day. Raph can be a bit of a jerk at times.”
“Well, we are brothers. It’s one of the sibling commandments: Thou shalt not live one day without tormenting the other.”
“Almost makes me glad I’m an only child,” said April, shouldering her backpack. “Then again, that’s why I have you guys to he
"Hey, mum? Yeah, don't worry, we're on our way. Ringo said he needed to make a quick stop, then we'll come to the party....yes, tell dad I picked up the whisky for the nog....no, I will not drink any until we get home....yes, mum, you have my word. My solemn word....I don't have a bible right now, but I swear on that too, yes. Ok, mum, I see Ringo coming, I gotta go....love you. See you soon, bye!"
George sighed heavily as exited the phone booth. The wintery chill of Liverpool sent a shiver down his spine, but he didn't mind. He loved the winter season and he especially loved Christmas time. His parents were throwing a huge party back at h

Part One
The buzzing continued to grow within the confines of the dark chamber. Millions of beings flew impatiently within their wooden prison, searching for any means of escape. Their master placed his gloved hand over the chests, feeling his heart swell with anticipation. "Patience, my children," he cooed, "Patience. You will be free when the time is right. Locust!"
The mutant Ruki emerged from the shadows and bowed to his master, awaiting his orders. "Yes, Lord Calabar?" he hissed.
"Prepare the swarm for their attack," ordered the Buzz. "The sun is rising and I want the people of Brightvale to have a good

Part Two
It was truly a dark day in Brightvale history. In one hour, nearly the entire kingdom had been stricken by the Vernax's venom. Not a single bed in the infirmary was empty as more victims came in by the dozen. When there were no beds left in the infirmary for new patients, they were taken to the servant quarters or blankets and pillows were brought into spare rooms.
Bruila dipped the washcloth in the cool water, placing it upon her aunt's brow. She didn't know how long she had been in the infirmary; it felt like hours. The nurses had given Sera herbs and potions, but none seemed to ease her fever.
Bruila took the Draik's limp

"Mommy! What's going on? Why are there monsters in our town?"
"Get away from the window! Don't let them see you!"
"They've broken the barricade! Hide, Bruila! Now!"
"Stay here, Bruila. Don't make a sound!"
"Mommy! Don't leave me in the dark! Mommy, don't leave me!!!"
Bruila sat up, gasping as sweat poured down her face. She had the dream again. She was a little Shoyru when Kass and his soldiers attacked Meridell. Her mother and father hid her in the cellar where she would be safe. She never saw what took place in her house, but the sounds still played loudly in her ears: metal clashing, her mother screaming,

LARRY

BOB
And we're here to answer your questions. Today we have an e-mail from Patrick Richards from Williamsburg, Virginia.
LARRY
Ah, Virginia! What a wonderful, glorious state, filled with good-hearted people and historic venues as far as the eye can see.
(Bob looks at Larry quizzically)
BOB
Uh, thank you, Larry. That was very...spontaneous?
LARRY
Just want people to know what a great state Virginia is!
BOB
You still feel bad about mocking South Dakota, don't you?

Chapter One
Stork carefully twisted the metal strands around the base of his helmet. In a few moments, it'd be complete. Just like his father, Mok, he'd invent something that would not only help him, but help all Merb-kind. "Just one more little...done!" The young Merbling took a step back to get a better view of his latest invention: the Anit-Mindworm Helmet. He had spent hours working out all the kinks and finding the right parts, but it was well worth it. True, all he had to use was an old mop bucket, some stripped pipe cleaners, and some spare buttons from his mother's stitching basket, but he knew this would ward of
